Loose Items

Loose items or specialty items on the bike are to be removed i.e. weather shield, wide mirrors (fold them back / lower or remove). If your bike has side saddles or panniers that are unable to be removed please ensure they are clean and empty and available for inspection.

Fuel Tank

The fuel level in your bike's tank should be as close as possible to a 1/4 full. (This saves quite a bit of weight, which the environment will appreciate.)

Keys

The steering should be unlocked with the key removed and retained by you.

Checklist

Items for extra consideration when transporting your motorcycle are:

I have removed all personal and loose items from my motocycle, including panniers and compartments;
The fuel in my motorcycle tank is approximately 1/4 full;
I have an alarm/immobiliser on my motorcyle and have advised Autotrans of any special operating instructions;
I have removed the key to my motorcycle and the steering lock is dis-engaged.
